Multi-mission ground segment software for satellite operators.
A single instance operates several constellations, where legacy systems run one mission each. The people using it have run operations on the same tools for twenty years, so the work is less about modernising a screen and more about earning the right to change one.
A coaching platform for personal trainers and their athletes.
Designed and architected alone: information architecture, a design system built from zero with white-label theming for coach branding, and the athlete app now in build.
Luxury car rental, from first tap to payment.
A self-initiated concept taken end to end: catalogue, car detail, booking with pick up and drop off, payment, the rental in progress and the profile. Dark stage, one warm action per screen, and cards coloured by the car.
One internal platform to run a laboratory's day to day.
Samples, analysis reports, online orders, documents and invoicing in a single place instead of scattered tools. It started as an audit of an existing file and grew into a restructured product.
I graduated in Multimedia at Instituto Superior Miguel Torga, then took a master's in Multimedia Communication at the University of Aveiro, finishing in 2018.
What pulled me in was the point where visual craft meets systems: how a set of rules, repeated well, can hold a whole product together.
From 2019 to 2024 I taught interaction design and multimedia at ISMT, ESEV and ISEC, while working full time in practice.
Explaining the work to people learning it is the fastest way to find out what you actually understand.
This is my story, from a studio of my own to software for satellite operators.
For eight years I ran Creativestudios, my own design practice. I won the work, shaped the client relationship and delivered it, across web, mobile, brand systems and motion, for startups and public entities.
Discipline is a design tool. Consistency is what makes a system, and a body, hold up over time.
Ten years in, that is the part I trust most.I wanted to stay with a product long enough to see decisions play out. At LINK37 I ran design end to end on more than a dozen client products.
Now at CEIIA I design ground segment software: the systems satellite operators use to plan missions, control passes and predict orbits. In my spare time I'm usually building Anvera, or at the gym.
